hi, I'm julia— I design for complex problems, make too many things, and travel any extra moment i have.
I'm a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where I studied product design and a handful of languages. With a deep understanding of human centered design and a skill-set in making both physical and digital solutions, I am ready to tackle diverse challenges.
My passions for travel and language intersect repeatedly with design, and I wouldn't be the designer I am today without my experiences around the world. Cultural awareness and empathy play a significant role in my work. I'm a stickler for craft and project organization, and value a thorough design process, quality research, and storytelling.
Currently, I am a product designer at Tempus, a biotechnology company harnessing the power of data to advance precision medicine in cancer (and moving into new diseases soon!). I conduct extensive design research, map user flows, tackle complex systems problems, and design software for scientists, pathologists, data scientists, and external pharmaceutical users.
